ITSU- Taking Giant Leaps to Make India Disease Free
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
has doubled up these efforts by signing a Memorandum of Association
with the Bills and Melinda Gates Foundation and a part of this
understanding ITSU or Immunization Technical Support Unit came into
existence. With this funding support readily available, focus is being
shifted to technological as well as managerial support to ensure the
success of the Universal Immunization Program. Effective and result
oriented policies and strategies are being formulated by ITSU to ensure
that the vaccination program reaches the far and wider areas of the
country. The delivery system for these vaccines is being streamlined to
ensure that it reaches the far recesses of the country on time.
